What other Sports are you into?

Another ex fencer here, foil and a bit of epee for me.

Played a bit of squash and badminton but nothing apart from golf for a few years, I could do with something a bit more energetic than golf to lose a bit of weight.

sports i used to do! :

Motorcycle road racing
Rugby
Cricket

Sports i now do:

Golf
cycling

I am a big armchair sportsman these days, footy and Rugby mainly (proper rugby, not that northern rubbish!)

At the moment my main hobby is job hunting!

Sports wise it was Rugby up until a nasty illness in 2009 from which my golf career spawned in 2010.

I would love to get into a bit of esports but I am far from good enough.

I just usually mess around on the wii to keep fit and hit the course/range in any spare time I get.

Played baseball in the British League from 1987 to 2000 ......

I used to play in the same league for part of time, 1988 - 1996. Used to play for MK City Truckers, who did you play for?

Other than golf, I've been doing Aikido since 1992, spent a couple of years in Japan doing it and run a small independent association here in the UK now.Spend 3 or 4 nights in the week doing the Aiki, the rest playing golf.

In that case we definitely played against each other as I was with the Sutton Braves from 1987-89, Hemel Red Sox 1990-94, Hounslow 1995 and then Guildford Mavericks 1997-2000 including the last two years as player manager.

Used to play squash religiously as a kid and am looking to get back into it in the next few weeks.

Also like going to the gym (weights) when I get the time (almost never but hopefully that will be changing with a change of gyms).

Also enjoy football (GK) and played Cornerback for the Bristol Aztecs (American football) in the British Premier League until I stopped playing last year as it’s a huge commitment to play at a high level (4 times a week in the gym lifting and 9 months out of the year training twice a week (with an hour round trip to training and back)…I just couldn’t afford the time any longer and my body is not built for the sport, especially at age 28!). I still help out with coaching our development division 2 team the Bristol Apache though as and when I can.

Really looking forward to starting Squash again though.

I guess so, definitely played against Hemel a few times, and pretty sure I played against Sutton and Hounslow at some point. Don't recall playing against Guildford.

Used to be a 1st Cat Road cyclist untill i broke my Knee in 7 places in 95.
always played a bit of cricket, not bad at that, played minor counties an prem league.
do a bit of shooting from time to time, but not that much of late.

Started sea fishing with the wife last year, but she and even worse fair weather fisher and she is a golfer;)

Another speedway fan, follow Eastbourne by default after Wimbledon folded, Rugby League where I follow Wigan for no other reason than the man who converted me from Union was from Wigan, and Mrs BiM and I enjoy watching the Tour de France. Oh, and football..........

Just Golf again now.

I did Muay Thai for 20 years, enduro, laning & motocross on my Yamaha, a few track days on my Honda. Now my knee is shot, back "problematic", shoulder has reduced movement, and generally my warranty has completely run out. :D

I made the decision in 2011 to start doing less demanding hobbies as my recovery time was getting longer & it started affecting my work and family life.

Sparring & fighting stopped, bikes mothballed (going this summer), weight gained & golf resumed.

I play golf when I am not running. I used to fish a lot when I was younger but gave it up when kids came. Now they are teenagers I go pleasure fishing with them as they did not take to golf. I totally understand Smiffy's sabbatical from golf. The lure of fishing (excuse the pun) is a strong one that when it's in you it's hard to resist.

I used to play rugby union to a good level (County and Saracens Academy). Haven't played for 2 years now, but planning on starting again next season.

At the moment only really golf and gym (to get fit for next rugby season).
