What is your bag like in the rain

the golfstream trolley bag got absolutely drowned today, not supposed to be fully waterproof but pretty much everything stayed fully dry

for those struggling with their hoods, get one of the wedge shaped ones, theyre a huge improvement on thge ones that come with the bags usually

I have three titleist bags, and they are as water proof as a tea bag, even the rain hood. Why make a rain hood which is not water proof?

I've got the Sun Mountain H2nO cart bag and it's fantastic. Truly waterproof, although of course when the bags open to put the clubs in, things may get damp, but never soaked.

I also spray my carry bag with tent waterproofing, and it's certainly helped when the rain is light or during showers, but not when it's raining solidly.

Titleist Stadry stand bag, brilliant until you open a zip without wiping it down first.

H2nO cart bag, brilliant until you open a zip without wiping it down first.

They both have their uses, strengths and weaknesses.

If it's too windy for a brolly then on with the Macwets, GG souwester, Proquip PQLite waterproofs, Ping moonlight pencil bag and leave anything that shouldn't get wet in the car.

Cheers.

Steve...

Mine is pure junk!!! I have a Ping 4 under carry bag, it's nice, stylish and lovely and light but when it rains forget it as it leaks like a sieve. I think at the prices they charge for gear these days they would be able to withstand a rain shower. Everything was just soaked through by the end of the round.

DB, probably not what you want to hear, but mine copes very, very well :D

It absolutely hammered it down while I was there today, everything inside was bone dry and about 6pm the outside was bone dry too.

Shame about me. I was pi$$ wet through....................... Forgot my waterproofs

H2NO stand bag is awesome, Callaway cart bag, not so good.

Should really have bought the H2NO cart bag, but they were mega expensive when I was looking.

My R11 bag leaks like a tea bag. My biggest bug bear with carry bags is the straps get soaked. It stops raining so you take the waterproof top off and then your shoulders get damp where the water has run into the straps. If it looks like rain I usually take the trolly so I can put loads of towels and spare gloves in there along with the waterproofs and don't feel like a sherpa lugging it all round. I have a brolly holder on my GK and that tends to keep the worse of the rain off without needing to use a hood. It does mean I can't actually see where I'm going but thats a different issue.

Excellent point.

I have a Mizuno carry bag, which is a few years old and has a Mizuno "Shower Cap" TM. Why not make it a "Monaoon Cap" and actually chuffing waterproof!!?

My next carry bag will be an H2NO or the Titty alternative

The newer mizzy shower caps are waterproof, just FYI. Wll, mine is anyhow.

i have a ping 4 under bag also and it is completely useless everything gets soaked. have to keep all my things in plastic bags so they don't get wet. also terrible in the wind, i play on a windy course and the bag always blows over no stability in the legs.
