Mine is pure junk!!! I have a Ping 4 under carry bag, it's nice, stylish and lovely and light but when it rains forget it as it leaks like a sieve. I think at the prices they charge for gear these days they would be able to withstand a rain shower. Everything was just soaked through by the end of the round.

I think that unless you stump up for a bag that is designed to be waterproof ( like the H2NO ) then they all leak like a sieve.
I've often thought of using a proofing spray from an outdoor shop. Don't know if that would work or not.

Ive been quite lucky recently and havent been in out torrential rain exceopt for the odd shower, but Im hoping the Powakadday bag i have being PVC will be pretty good.
I always found carry bags useless at keeping stuff dry.

Bone dry
Sun Mountain H2No - it really is waterproof :D

Is the correct answer! :D

Good luck with that mines is garbage and is probably the worst bag I have ever bought!

Bags will NEVER be waterproof. Once you take a shot, stick the club back in the rest of your clubs will start to get wet.

Plenty of towels in poly bags when the forecast is rain.

i have an MD bag my brother won and its fine in the rain. also have a massive cobra one that i got for a first place in a society but its too big to be lugging round every day. might bring it out again when the sunshine returns to these shores.

does seem that manufacturers are good at blowin on about how super duper lightweight their bags are, umpteen pocketed, seemingly one for everything including one that keeps your drinks cold.they cant give us a waterproof pocket as standard on every bag!

They should make the whole bag out of the stuff that they make the waterproof pocket with

rather like building an aeroplane out of Black Box Material

Fragger

Oh No.... what do you mean - in the rain only or just in general?

Both but as the zips have fallen off and all the stitching around the zips and pockets has bust and done so in around 6 months, I will NEVER buy a powakaddy bag again. Good luck with yours though hopefully mine was just a bad bag.

I had an old R5 TM carry bag canvas material and was the same like a sponge, changed to PVC type much better, I have a motocaddy pro series cart bag and TMX stand bag

I have three issues with bags in the rain:

1. They leak
2. They get sodden when you put your wet club back in
3. This is my biggest bug bear the hoods never, ever fit properly so getting your clubs in and out is a nightmare. The best hood I've seen is an Ogio that opens like PAC man's mouth

Mines awesome. Got cought in the heaviest thunder storm I've experienced last year, lasted 20 mins. Clubs and grips bone dry! It's one of them new generation Taylor made ones that's has the water treatment like the h2n0

We had heavyish showers (and a workload of wind!) today and my bag holds up ok. Towel in the pocket was slightly damp, but nothing tragic and clubs were all fine (grips etc).

It's a Mizuno Aerolite DLX, by the way.

used to have a ping hoofer ,got fed up of everything getting wet, so bought a sun mountain h2no couple months ago,not cheap but worth every penny, no more drying everything out after a rainy day
