Oh my, is that a tough one. Just started a new member of staff this week. Crikey, when she gets excited I haven't got a Scooby. Pure Geordie from Wallsend is tough but Doric takes it to a whole new level.
Glaswegian or a fast speaking Irishman. I get both ringing at work on occasions and I'm in real trouble at times.

I have always had problems understanding cockney. [Except when Dick van Dyke speaks it]
Edinburgh has to be the classiest UK accent.
I love the mid west England, Amps/Dorset/Glos as spoken by the locals and not the grockles.
Taff Jock is not an accent there must be about 10 different Scots dialects.

Only place I really struggle is in a place called Turriff north west of Aberdeen, can't grasp much at times, specially from the old fella who works there. Yet Elgin an hour up the road I'm fine.

Starting to struggle to understand my oldest grandchild who seems to have developed a strong Galloway accent only a couple of years after moving there.
