Playing our SI1 par 4 today I hit driver, then laid up and chipped on to 12 inches, very pleased with a 5 as its my 2 shot hole. The pin was tricky but it was just a tap in right? Somehow I three putted as I knocked it 2 feet past then missed the return, proper peed off I walked in after the next hole :-(

I lipped a birdie putt from 8 ft a couple weeks ago. No big deal but it threw me and I managed to do the same with the 1 footer coming back. Walked off with a bogey, fuming.

4 inches. One handed attempt power lipped out hit a slope and left a 3 foot return. Missed that and then finished it out. Was my 4th putt on the green and was the first time I had ever hit that particular green in regulation. Awesome!

About 2 ft for me.... I have this habit of rattling 2 footers into the back of the cup..... Thats fine provided that the blade is square but when your a smidge off and it lips with that pace is adios and a return of 4 or 5 ft..... Not nice.

About 4 foot for birdie, knocked about 12'' past then had a very awkward stance to avoid standing on two lines and missed coming back. I 4 putted from about 12ft a few weeks ago, again putting for a birdie, walked off with a double bogey. Not happy with that at all.

I lurched between the sublime and the ridiculous all round today. Including a 5 putt on a par 4 for a snowman that included a 3 putt from 2 ft.
Followed that by parring the SI1.
Stupid game.

if you have been burned bad in this situation. you wont do it again!!

any of the real short three putts ive been apart of, or seen, its been down to carelessness!

Playing Bearwood Lakes once, I think it might have been in a Charity Day with decent prizes at stake....and partnering Paul Nash. Got to the par 4 6th, not a long hole but it's all about the drive. I hit a nice one up there, played a lovely 2nd shot in, left myself about 8ft from the pin with a right to left downhiller. Paul reminded me that the greens were quite nippy, to which I replied "Don't worry mate, I've got it all under control".......
I honestly thought the first putt was in. I stroked it beautifully, and the line was good. Unfortunately it didn't take the break, and I watched it carry on about four feet past the hole. Damn, I thought, tricky one for par now. I hit the second putt beautifully as well. But it missed and went two feet past. "Not a bloody bogie" I thought to myself, "after that lovely drive and second shot as well"....nope. I dollied the next one and walked off with a 6.
Paul looked at me, with that look he gives every now and then. I looked at him, wanting to kill him because of the look he was giving me. We laughed about it afterwards. Well I did.....
