Did a better ball open at Dartmouth a few years ago. £45 for the pair of us (£22.50 each for the hard of hearing) which included coffee and bacon bap on arrival, golf, drinks voucher for the bar, a carvery and prizes.

£12 for west Linton was a steal

I bought a four ball for the Army golf course for H4H last year. Heard very good things about the place recently and so looking forward to playing there for less than the normal green fee.

Royal Aberdeen off the tips a few days after the Walker Cup for £35 is about as good as it gets.

I am fortunate to get to play a lot of top courses for nothing and a few for peanuts due to my job.

Birkdale and RCD for £40 incl food spring to mind.

Jammy sod, I paid the full £100 at Royal Aberdeen about a week before the walker cup - they were just starting to put some small grandstands up by the 18th. Great course though.
