What is it with this game!

Played in a stableford comp yesterday, shot a 54 gross on the front nine(11 points) which is 18+ on the front nine!!! ( I'm playing off 19). The back nine I shot a gross 41 (5 over/22 points!) so 33 points overall but I was 13 shots better in the back nine! Sooooooooooo frustrating!
The only difference was I used my driver on the back nine which isn't accurate but I supposed the extra distance allowed a shorter iron into the green, but I was still wayward with the driver.
Next weekend is the captians weekend, 2 days of medal (full handicap).
If I sort my front nine out I should ease through but you'll all know what will happen.......... The back nine would go belly up! What a game, and I love it!

Great game isn't it?

Played a major comp last year and went out in 15 points (5 over) , came back in 24 points (4 under) for a 39 point win by one. If it had gone to countback I would have been slaughtered cos I played the back 9 first

you gotta love this game and embrace all the good with the bad. It doesnt just swing from round to round but many times during a round too. Shot of the week followed by weekend hacking followed by sublime up and down. Thats why we find it hard to pack the game in , its in the blood and we know a good round is just around the corner
