Not seen any of the golf but all sorts of complaints on Twitter from the pros about the course set up. Is it that bad

Loads of people under par for the day so it can't be THAT tough.

A golf course is unfair if you can't score even when you play really well. Obviously not the case here.

Sour grapes from Poulter (who shot 76 btw) and various others who have had bad days if you ask me.

Watching now. Some greens are very shiney, other skiddy and other suffering spike marks. Not great. But no mention on the Sky coverage about poor setup though?

Speed of the greens seems to be an issue, Sir Nick said the 18th 'must be about 16 on the Stimp!'.

17 seems a big issue best shot you can play by tiger apparently to get to 30 foot away.
Seems the greens dried through the day and become hard and crusty.

It is a very tough course at the best of times, and if allowed to get a bit too hard it goes over the edge a bit. But Poulter is a bit of a moaner. Funny that Sergio, often thought of as a moaner and a bad putter, didn't moan and managed to hole putts. Doesn't look as unplayable as that US Open next door at Shinnecock Hills when 2 players finished under par and the winning score was -4. Even par gets you tied 32nd after 3 rounds at The Barclays. Hardly a bloodbath.

Does it really matter if the course is set up exceptionally hard or very easy? It's the same for everyone.

I remember a series of adverts the PGA used to show about their players being the best, they should be able to cope with the conditions.

Same for everyone is only one definition of fair. If they planted landlines and had snipers shooting on players, or a hole where the flag is on the point of a pyramid it would be the same for everyone but would hardly be fair. If a hole, such as that par3 at Shinnecock in the US Open plays so arbitrarily that it is a lottery then it is unfair. Some players were suggesting that yesterday. I don't buy it but the logic of the argument is reasonable.

Looked like a 'normal' UK course to me, scruffy rough, scruffy bunkers, inconsistent greens - actually enjoying watching it for once! It was only a matter of time until they all complained.

Total Knobheads heckling Garcia then chanting USA after he's taken the shot, The commentators on Sky don't seem to bothered by it though.

I've just realised its not sky commentary it's the American commentary including Faldo.

2nd to last hole, final round, and that happens. Its disgraceful, and must have had an effect on the shot. I also though Feherty's comments were absurd, saying how the crowds had been terric, enthsiastic and boistrious all week , and then said there had only been a few instances like that blah blah blah, why jump to their defense ????
