What Golf equipment are you buying this weekend?

Swapped my Cleveland Classic XL 10.5 for the 12 degree version...

£35 trade-in, could have got more on eBay, but couldn't be arsed with the hassle of listing and waiting. Gets home to find the 12deg is £79.99 on AG's website; I was charged £89.99, less trade-in.

Should have checked the price before I left the house.... eejit that I am!

I know theres an ongoing thread about what you've bought.

This is strictly down to what you are seriously planning to buy this weekend- report Monday with a yay or a nay

I'll Start.

This weekend I'll be mostly buying a new driver:mmm:

Does sun cream count :mmm:

Being serious, I'm about to pull the trigger on a Pingman Blackout (PP58) grip. Time to get this Super Stroke off and back to something that feels more comfortable.

Bought.

Any one who has played with me this year will know I have a hate / hate relationship with my driver. I used to love it, but she has betrayed my confidence, and we are done. Today was the last straw. 35 points in the swindle, but drove the ball like a dog. Could have been so much better.

So, I went to silvermere, as they have a well stocked shop, and re-tried the cally big Bertha. Last time I tried it, the choices were limited, and I didn't have a wrench to adjust it. I borrowed a 10.5 in regular, and a 9.0 in stiff. I took my own wrench, so I could fiddle with it. I tried both heads, with both shafts, in neutral, and plus/minus the available lofts. I put the moveable weight in position 2, as I need all the help closing the club face that I can get.

The 9.0, with stiff Fubuki, weight in position 2 (draw), neutral on the shaft adaptor, was just great. I was nutting it. Only range balls, and no launch monitor, but the flight was nice, and to be honest, what ever happens on the course, it can't be worse than my xtreme. The strike was bang out of the middle, pretty much every time. And pretty straight. I didn't need any swing thoughts, manipulations, etc. took the club back, and whacked it. Just what I want.

I went back into the shop, and as well as the stock blue ones, they had a u design one in orange. Not for every one, granted (they had a bubble gum pink one as well, but only in the 10.5). Blue for £360, or orange for £199? Hmm. I don't give a stuff about the colour, so orange it is.

Medal tomorrow. Bring it on.

I may or may not have bought a few goodies from the Centurion Pro Shop and then also may not have bought some more IJP clothes :D
