something else I need to get for castle stuart.

I was in AG today looking at these and some seemed to weigh a ton. Bearing in mind Easyjet have a 12kg limit on clubs can anyone recommend a decent bag?

It's not likely to get a huge amount of use, so I can't see any point in paying silly money.

I've been to the Algarve four times and Spain twice with my golf clubs. Both times I have just put the hood on my normal carry bag and Bob's your uncle. Never bothered with a flight bag and never had a problem yet...

;)

I have a John Letters bag. It's massive!!!
A couple of years ago I took a couple of sets, 2 pairs of shoes, balls and clothing in it.

Look it up on Direct Golf, think I paid about £30 for it. Has little wheels on it as well. Makes gliding across airport floors a piece of cake!

Just go on to ebay. I got a 2007 model Srixon flight bag which is excellent brnd new for £30, the 2009 model which is as near as dam exactly the same is over £100.

Also ask mates etc, if its not going to be used again try and borrow one for a pack or pro V's or a CS ball marker!

Izzo do a hard case one which folds into a briefcase size when not in use. Protects your clubs great. I got mine after seeing somenes clubs dumped head first onto the planes conveyor belt.

I wasn't aware that Easyjet had reduced their weight allowance from 32kg. I have been away with my clubs for over a year like.

12kg limit on clubs

Bloody hell, you will be lucky to get just the clubs through with that.

I have the Mizuno Elite bag which is well padded but huge, I also have the Srixon flight bag which does a grand job and only cost £25.

Where did you get the 12kg weight limit from Vis? I couldn't see it on their site.

I've just rechecked easyjets website, not easy is it.

I think I saw the max single baggage weight of 32 kg and read it as max passenger baggage weight, deduct 20 kg for hold baggage, et voila. OK things are looking better.

I saw one of these 'concertina' style carry cases with four wheels today - still weighed a ton.

thank you all for the suggestions
