I think I played average in the last medal, came off with a net 71 (par) and ended up winning on countback. One of the people in my group was net 73, but had a 10 on par 5.

Perseverance. I was sooo cheesed off with not getting any sort of reward for the hours of practice and lessons and couldn't get anything going in a competition and then rock up at St Pierre and nick a place in the final. It will come you just have to stick with it

I always think that winning takes many forms.

For example, honours board comp. I pay £5 entry.

So, I go out and get 38 points.

I'm a winner already as I've played well and I'm 2 under my handicap so I'll get cut.

My 38 points comes second in the comp - I've not won but I have.

Just stick with it like the others said, it'll come.

Our midweek medal this week I shot nett 66 and came 4th!
Also got beat for best gross by a 5hc shooting level par.

Am I bitter? Damn straight!!!
