having been off for close to 7 months ( knee op) i have now had 4 rounds where i have scored (stapleford) 23, 24, 24 and 25 points. Just prior to the op i was cut from 15 to 14 after winning amonthly medal. Everyone is pushing me to seek a reduction in the handicap to help ease me back. I want to stay and hope the game comes back what would you do if you were me?

Do ya mean an Increase in your handicap ? personaly i would never do that , id ease myself back in playing non qualifiers &when i was back where i thought the knee was better id play the qualifiers again & the handicap will look after itself then .. too hard to get cut in out place so i hate geting it up ..

many people hit scores like those playing regularly so i wouldnt be too hasty in asking for a handicap review give it a few weeks at least to see how the knee holds up and some rustiness wear off.

Get our for a few rounds but hit everything with a half to three quarter swing, chances are you have just lost your timing and need to build back into it.
My unprofessional advice :)

The only time I've ever consider asking for my handicap to be reviewed upwards is if injury/illness etc affected me and it was going to be permanent.

If it's just rustiness work through it imo.
