We're getting close to the height of the season now. We've practiced, and we know our own game. We've got some history for the season and we know where we dropped some numpty shots.

I've has some great starts, some great finishes and some great mid-rounds. And I've put in some good rounds with the odd what if's... but in truth the scores don't lie.

I know my best is level par but I think my best is one under. Can't see me hitting 2 under.

Being honest with yourself what do you think your best round will be this year?

And then there's the round that surprises you... what score might sneak in that you secretly hope for... I might just sneak a 3 under.

I tend to peak in the Autumn.
Recently, I've been breaking 80 regularly and still wasting plenty of shots.
Come September it wouldn't surprise me to shoot par....

My long game is all over the place and confidence wrecked. Scores on my home course range from 75 to 83 in comps this year (83 being the most recent ). Short game and putting are really strong (for me) so if I could get a round without any destructive tee shots I could probably shoot low 70s. Level par (69) is still a dream but not looking likely at the moment.

When I keep my drives on the short stuff I've been playing some really decent stuff, the rest of my game is in ok shape. Been round both the front and back 9's at my place in 3 over. I'm hoping to put it together and shoot in the 70's (par 70) this year. That would be an achievement for me.

Driving continues to swing from brilliant to absolutely wild from round to round.

Hopefully I will break par!

I have shot under front and back 9 a few times this season but not managed to keep it under after 18 in a round yet! Was 1 under on the 18th tee once.........panicked, played the safe shot of 3 wood even though driver was going well and blocked myself out 50 yards left of fairway!

Honest answer, I reckon I will shoot a 92 sometime very soon. I've had a few 95's 96's and 99's and I'm certain I left shots out there.

Still not my lowest round of 91 but everything went right that day.

I won't be disappointed if I don't score any lower as I play golf enjoy myself, and scoring lower is simply a bonus. I don't play as often as most other golfers but there is a special round in there somewhere

Hmm so far I have managed a 76 (3 over) and I think at the minute if I could match that I would be delighted but would take 78, although I have been playing around handicap and after being cut to 9 for the first time still finding my feet.

It's a tough one as there are so many card wreckers on our course.
Shot 79 last sat that could have been 75 or lower and shot -4 for 9 on Tuesday which was nice but wether I could do it over 18 not sure. Shot 70 before, but have I got it in me at the mo? Who knows. 95 or 75 tomo. Who knows :)

I've shot a 78 (par 70 easy course) a while back and more recently an 80 on my home course (par 70). Feel I could shoot 80 fairly consistant but there's always one or two ridiculous tee shots in there which ruin a score. My Stableford scores off 15 are always great. Its not even taking on dangerous options off the tee. I'm as likely to smash a 7iron out of bounds as I am my driver, its really annoying me now. Hit a 6iron into a par three couple of weeks ago. First shot literally 100yds right, three of the tee straight in the hole. Its a funny old game! ;)

I think at my track (9 hole you play twice from different tee beds) I know I could get round about +4 gross! I can birdie some holes just got to keep those big numbers off my card!

I'm sure I can get a low 80's round in soon, I have had a 86 & 85 off yellows and that's with one or two bad holes. I just need to get my driver working again and I honestly think an 82-83 is not far away.

My H/C should be a lot lower but I just go to bits with a comp card in hand.

67 (-3) twice this year. If all my luck came at once I think I could chop 2 off that.

My 70 in the last medal was on greens that were slower than a shag pile carpet, I left 4 birdie putts on the front lip from inside 10'. I'm not one for ifs and buts.......BUT.......that one was pretty frustrating
