Must be the effect you have on people. He was a true gent when I played with him.

Back to the op, I tend to just whistle or single along to what ever is in my head at the time, although it always ends up a song with boom in it when I'm on the tee

The last couple of rounds I've had "Knock Knock" by The Macc Lads running through my head. I can't notice any appreciable difference in my play but I do walk off the tee giggling like a loon rather than bemoaning why I've sliced another one into the next postcode.

I don't think about the target as I don't swing the club towards the target.
