What do you Find Harder on Course?

Have to agree with the elevated greens for me, we have a par 3 that's that far uphill you struggle to see the very tip of the flag. Just gives you absolutely no confidence at all on the tee. But does make it that little bit more satisfying when you knock one close for birdie. So I guess it's bitter sweet, but definately something I struggle with. Tree lined tight fairways are always good fun aswell, especially when you slice one and clear both sets of tress. A personal favourite of mine.

Tight tree lined fairways for me, (I've never liked the look of the tight Woburn course. Duchess?)
Always easy to subconsciously steer the ball into trouble. I just try to remind myself to stay loose and Commit to the shot.

Also find it tough to get it in close on elevated greens, even at 80-100 yards.

No probs on uneven lies. Most of the local moorland courses are full of them!

Interesting that elevated greens are popular, never really thought about it but I've only ever hit the elevated green on the 8th at my place twice!

One good thing though is that there aren't that many tight tree lined fairways, they do make me feel claustrophobic!

I'll be honest though guys, whilst we're on the topic of forum distances, I've just got myself a cracking new hybrid that would easily clear any trouble at 300 yards...

its small upturned saucer type greens for me ,you know the ones where the green is raised above the surrounding area and the run off just sends your ball into the rough ,bloody annoying when you have hit a shot that is all over the stick ,only to see it run off to an almost unplayable position .

Not a fan of these either. Aside from side hill lies, which to a large degree the course designed has to use given the lay of the land, it has to be water hazards. As someone not that accurate on par 3's with anything over a 6 iron, these tend to be a nemesis of mine. To be honest, as long as the course is fair I'll enjoy it. Always up for a challenge!

Some of the best courses in the world have this as a prime design feature.

Ah yes the upturned green. I remember hitting a crisp 9 iron into one a few months back, beauty of a shot, high flight, softish greens at the time, but it landed a tad too close to the run off. Left with a short chip from rough on a downhill lie. If I had to concoct a recipe for a bladed chip that would be it, and funnily enough, that's what happened!

If it was easy we'd all have quit a long time ago though
