Was listening to Talk Spoert radio today and it was revealed that Paddy Power the bookie paid out on all bets for Tiger Woods winning on Saturday Morning before the third round even started

I'm fairly sure they were aware of the risks before paying out.

They've done this many times before and I think the publicity it creates for them is worth more than the money they lose on paying out early incorrectly (rarely IIRC)

Thats why Mr Power can sit back and relax while the rest of us slog our guts out. These fella's aren't stupid. What we think is a daft idea turns out to be a blinding idea to them. How many gamblers will use them nwo on the chance of them paying out early or giving refunds if the last goal was a header or something.
