What a knock by Jos Buttler!!

I don't buy it Phil........I could bowl with a straight arm without even trying to get my arm above my shoulder.....not sure it would be legal though..

As long as that arm is straight ( especially at the wrirst ) it would be fine mate - but try doing it at pace and with accuracy -its near impossible.

its massively talented from Malinga to actually achieve what he does with that action

England are playing the game as it was 20 years ago, Butler was left with way too much to do. All the serious teams have their best players in early and they are also fast scorers. England have too many blockers at the top of the order, Morgan and Butler at least one spot too low in the order and probably two spots to low. This is especially true on flat tracks in sub continent. On a fast track to nowhere with the current batting plan.

If Malinga's action is legal, then IMO they need to change the law that governs it......as effective as it is, it just looks awful.

But what can you ban it for mate ?

Looking bad ?

At least he ain't chucking it like all the guys bowling the 'doosra'.......

Yes.....cricket should LOOK like cricket!! :whoo:

Yeah can understand what your saying -

Next time you watch Narine bowl watching his arm - more bent when he releases the ball than Malinga

He bowls like Geoff Thomson, but 90 degrees lower.;) Not a problem with his action, though I am amazed he can bowl so accurately. It is usually spinners that have dodgy actions, though some quick bowlers can hyper extend their elbows such as Shoaib Akhtar., which makes them look like chuckers.
