I felt Johnson’s shot was unplayable, right up within two tree roots. To then take an exaggerated stance & claim a free drop as his abnormally outstretched right foot happened to touch the path is taking the ultimate mickey. Should have taken an “unplayable”. McIlroy & Fleetwood both were able to play the ball left handed, in Fleetwoods case not very well. Not a good look all round.

In your eyes maybe, DJ done nothing wrong and played within the rules. It seems to me that some members of the forum are unsure of the rules, just hope they have learnt from what they have seen today, every day is a school day.....

Illogical - for Johnson to play the shot left handed onto the fairway he would have to wrap his arms around the tree !!!!

Totally agree and he's doing it all without really having to move up a gear a very relaxed performance all week. Think we're seeing the real world no1 here and in for a big year maybe.

Totally agree with you, he has the all round game and his short game is top class and has been for a few years. Rory missing greens from 61 yards says it all about where his game is

Agree that DJ is different class here but stupid to write off McIlroy's present form.

After all he may be 5 behind Johnson but he is currently 4 ahead of the rest of the field

yep but he was in a great position at the start of the day but sadly he just seems to struggle and can’t seem to get over the line these days and that has to play on his mind.

Can't judge him on this tournament or, indeed, any tournament where one of the other of the very best players in the world has an inspired performance like DJ's here.

If you do then in what state are the games of all the others apart from Rory.

Last year he only had 10 top tens out of 25 tournaments, he's already had 4 top 5s out of 4 tournaments, it's hardly rubbish golf he's playing.

Nobody saying he is rubbish just that he struggles to get the job done, there can only be one winner and that’s what it’s all about for these guys

You said he was in a great position at the start of the day, yet finished 4 under the card and 5 clear of 3rd place, the winner was 5 under the card and increased his lead by one shot, I'm just not sure what point you're trying to make, DJ was on fire, 21 under the card, almost double under what the guy in 3rd place was.

He was in a great position but couldn't make up ground on DJ and in order to win the event that is what was required but sadly he couldn't produce the goods, it's not every leader that goes into the last round that wins the event.
