There's no way that they're going to build 3G/4G pitches around the country. Do you have any idea how many they'd need? It's certainly not 1 per town. It's more like 10/20 per town. As a youth football coach who's had 15-20 games called off this season due to waterlogged pitches then I can assure you that the FA has absolutely not one single care about youth football. The money will most likely be spent paying off debts and providing elite youth players with elite facilities.

Correct!. Why does no journalist investigate this "grassroots" rubbish being constantly spouted by the FA?

Very good post and no doubt a large amount hoovered up by the FA suits and the consultancy firms charged with doing the proposals over grass roots football without setting a brightly polished shoe or designer suit anywhere near a muddy pitch in any inner city on a Saturday/Sunday morning
