Welsh Parliament to demand return of ancient monument

So long as they take it back the way it was taken, good luck to them, but didn’t it belong to the Irish?

The stones they are talking about are the smaller Bluestones that were brought to Stonehenge from the Presilli hills in West Wales. What they need to understand is there was only one country then, No England, No Wales just Briton and the British so the stones belonged to all of them. Also it has recently been discovered the locals there migrated to Salisbury Plain and took the stones with them.

What happened to the tunnel?

Like any big project there have been enough objectors for it to go to public enquiry.

Having travelled back and forth along the length of that road for over 40 years it gets my goat up when I see all the money sent on the M25 M3 and there has been no extension to the dual carriage after the Countess Wear/ Amesbury roundabout as far as Honiton except for very minor bits and pieces for nearly 30 of those years. It is a major route to the West Country and must have cost business £billions in lost man hours being stood still on the road. I have got so frustrated with that I have turned round and gone home on more than one occasion.

PS it not just Stonehenge that causes the problem but every single length of single carriageway of which there are many.
