Currently I have PW and SW within my full set of Mizuno MX-17s.

How can I tell what angle and bounce these wedges are? Is it important that I know as a high handicapper?

I know that in order to find out which bounce is best for me I'd need to do a fitting service, but it would be good at least to know what my current is. I've tried searching the web, but as these clubs are not current I'm struggling to find any detailed information.

Also, should I be thinking about an additional wedge as I can see that a lot of you have three in the bag?

Seems that the PW is 46 degrees loft, 3.5 degrees bounce and the SW 55 degrees loft and 10 degrees bounce

Basically your PW is low bounce and your SW mid to high bounce, pretty standard for "set" wedges and suitable for the majority. Personally think the gap bewtween the lofts of 9 degrees is way too much and would look to fill the gap with something around the 51 degree mark

+1 with fundy, something in the middle is nice to play with around the greens, but i dont see any probs with your SW. i suppose it depends on whether you struggle with your SW off tight lies, or if you ever feel you need more love around the greens, if you dont... then dont bother.

As a rule, unless im going up and over something, im doing 90% of my chipping with a stock 46* PW and it gets me in no trouble at all. i only opt for 52* or 58* if i need a good level of carry with a quick stop, but im finiding the stock wedge has a nice predictable level of roll out... so im getting more consistent results.

Thanks for the replies, perfectly answered! Especially for the two website links which are now on my favourites.

Now, which 51 Degreeish wedge shall I put on my wishlist?

TaylorMade XFT. Available cheap now but great option to change the face for fresher grooves. Think AG were offloading them for £39
