How do you use your wedges?

I carry 4 wedges with degrees of 48, 52, 56 and 60. i use the 48, 52 and 56 for full shots as well as delicate chip and runs but never use the 60 for anyting but around the green and very rarely from more than 12 yards away.

My qustion to the forum is how many wedges do you carry and How do you use them do you have a set shot for each club or just go with how the shot feels???

4 wedges, used totally at random, according to when I last used one of them.

Bit annoyed at the moment, as my 50 was bang on 100 yards last year, but this year is more like 115. This is useless, as it was the 100 yard gap that was the reason I bought it.

Other than that, I have a 47 pw, used for full shots of 120, a 54 used for 80 yards and pitch/chipping, and a 58 for lob shots.

I often pitch/chip with the 50 too.

Rarely hit a full 58. Too dangeraous if it goes wrong.

I hit full shots with all of mine and use them all for chipping and bunker play use the same swing just change the club most of the time.

Seriously, I do not hit full shots with any of my wedges I try to hit 3/4 at the most to give me better control.

i have a pw, 50 degree, 54 and 60 degree. not all in the bag at once, but i use them for all shots.I find the 60 degree is perfect from that annoying 60-70 yard range on full shots!

I have noticed my 52 degree doesnt like being used from 30-50 yards (its not me honest) they always come up short yet the other distances round that are fine...wierd. Maybe better using the sandwedge for that little horrible distance.

My 4 wedges are 47,52,56 and 60.
All used for any shot that I feel is needed. Full, 3/4, 1/2, chips pitches, lobs, hacks, duffs, sh**ks, fats, thins and anything else too!

I generally choose one of my wedges if I want to
A) Fat one short of the green
B) Blade one through the clubhouse window
C) Parachute one into a bunker
D) Oink one into a pond in front of the green

3 wedges (45* PW, 52* GW & 56* SW).

Full, 1/2 and 1/4 shots with the PW which came with the iron set and is more forgiving.

Currently thin the 52 and 56 from anything remotely tight but would hit either full from the rough. 56 only other excursion is for bunker shots. 52 hit a half swing full follow through from tight lies, half swing and 1/4 shots. Still working on distances but with the GW the half swing full follow through goes consistently 91 yards and the half swing 69 yards.

Chipping lesson Saturday so will hopefully have more variety as I mainly chip with the 8 iron.

I carry 4 wedges (dropped the 3i)

47*, 50*, 54* & 60*, no black magic behind how I use them, just try to use the one that fits the type of shot I'm playing best.

I have no problems hitting all the clubs full swing. Yardages space out at 85, 100, 115 & 125yds, for any in between yardages I'll take the bigger one and swing easier knowing that it won't spin as much and will generally stop where it pitches.

I have a PW at 48, 53 and 58.

Pw is normally 110, 53 about 100 and 50 about 80 yards.

Really need to get to the range and get some distances sorted using the clock face method as I am struggling from under 80 yards.

I'm going 47, 54, 60 now, jusr dropped a 50 from the bag. Going to see how that goes, sometimes too many options isn't such a good thing I think.

Have PW - 44.5°, 50°, 56° & 60°

46.0°, 50° & 56° & adding a 5 wood.

Because Cobra lofted my PW like a 9i and I play a short course which needs a great short game hence the 60°. I use my 60° for deep bunkers and around the green, though it is going in the shed soon.

PW at 46, GW at 52, SW at 56 and LW at 60. Was thinking of losing the 56 and 60 in favour of a 58. Therefore going from a 4 wedge set up to a 3 wedge set up.

Our greenside bunkers are so compacted at the moment that I can't get a high bounce club (56) under the ball without thining it. The 60 is great from those. The 52 is the 'general' wedge. From chips to pitches it's the one that gets used the most.

I don't currently miss a 'long' club at the other end of the bag. So I'll probably stick with the 4 wedge set up.
