So looking for a new jacket for me it's between galvin green acton or mizuno impermalite

Your thoughts and advise would be appreciated , before I go and blow 200 quid :mmm:

GG every time. My oldest GG is still going strong nearly 7 years later. False economy buying anything cheaper.

I have both and the GG is fantastic, but the price of the Mizuno is hard to ignore. I probably wear the Mizuno more, but that's mainly because the GG is so blinkin expensive that I'd rather not get it wet and dirty...;)

In all seriousness though, it would also depend on your body shape. I find the Mizzy great, but it is quite fitted and tapers nicely at the waist. It may not suit all body types... You can also remove the sleeves from the Mizzy, which I can't do with the GG..

So, in summary, try them both on, choose the one that fits best at the price that suits...

I have not experienced the Mizuno. My GG wet gear is excellent. It gets used a lot. Spends a lot of time wet and cold dark car boots. Has been washed numerous times and continues to perform like the day it was new. High quality garment that will last a long time IMHO.

Just the sort of approval I wanted , anyone got gg in white always looks great new but does it look dirty and crappy after 6months

Buy ProQuip Tourflex suit, good enough for both Ryder Cup teams in Wales, where they got some good use !! You will also get a lot of change out of £200. £130 at Clubhouse golf for the suit.

Doesn't GG stuff rustle when you play. Put me off, plus the cost.

Being a self confessed GG addict I can help you out. I have the Atos jacket which is mainly a White jacket but with some patterning on it in other colours, I agree with you I think they look great but I am afraid to say in our conditions in the UK the get dirty after each round TBH, you are constantly having to clean/wash them. If it were me I would not buy White, they do some cracking jackets in Greys/Black/Brown etc they would be the ones I would look at.

I'm getting the mizzy impermalite flex jacket, I know the GG stuff is the best stuff to buy but at £250 over £70 for the mizzy stuff I just couldn't justify it, especially as I wouldn't play if it was wet enough to warrant the Galvin Green kit :D

I've got pro quip.... Bought it last year for about £100.... No complaints from me played in plenty rain too and still goin strong!! I appreciate the CG stuff is top range and looks great, bit out of my range last year as a relatively newbie..... May upgrade next year!!
