Waterproofs - Nike & Galvin Green.

Galvin Green all day long, I wore my new Bates thermal WindStopper jacket last night at the football and I was toasty all night :smirk:

In the interest of full disclosure, do you think you should mention your 'relationship' with GG?

As for the question in the OP....Not used any Nike wet weather gear, but I'm prepared to 'suffer' the noise of Goretex for the reliability it offers!

Just bought another GG top, so take what you want from that! I'm happy with any Goretex pants though. The GG ones are too hot for me - and too expensive too!

GG does NOT need to be tumble dries to replace the water proofing. They recommend this to reactivate the repellency, I.e. Water beading.

You can also do this by quickly ironing them when dry.

GG stuff is fantastic.

HID has Sunice waterproofs. I've got Berghaus paclite Goretex as I refused to pay GG's prices and found the Berghaus on sale.

I got the GG trousers. Best fitting waterproofs I've ever had.
Gore-tex is the real deal too. Works fantastic.

This summer I bought an Adidas paclite 1/4 zip rain jacket (gore tex) to compliment it.
Buying Adidas saved me a packet but still got gore-tex.

I have noticed many brands have now got the gore-tex licence so have a browse and I wouldn't recommend settling for anything less.

As I have mentioned in other similar threads, I wear Benross waterproof trousers, they are light and very comfortable, I have worn them in horrendous wet weather throughout rounds and stayed 100% dry, they are made superbly with the golfer more in mind with belt loops rather than just a pull cord and elastic waist but more importantly, for an old fart who needs to make a few unscheduled stops, they have a zip fly
