Ideally I’d like something new, or would consider a 2nd hand premium make if they are worth it-
Any recommendations welcome

I picked up a Galvin green performance shell gortex jacket for £80 including postage on Fleabay.

It's really good and very happy with it. Thy do come up a little 'snug' so check out the size first if you decide to go down that path.

Happy shopping!

I have an old Sunderland goretex that is a fantastic jacket, just a bit snug now;) and a Sunice long sleeve waterproof jacket (as well as a short sleeve one )
The Sunderland is excellent but dont discount Sunice, they are a nice bit of kit that don't cost an arm or leg.

Another for Adidas here, got my entire Adidas waterproof suit courtesy of County Golf for less than £60, plus its the Heathered type jacket so wears really well. So well in fact often wear it as a normal jacket.

Pretty sure you could get some 2010 USA ryder cup apparel for nothing second hand

Not sure how waterproof it might be though...

My 2 cents :-

Go for a gor-tex one and a good comfortable fit.

I got a UA paclite - from hotgolf, they had them for £100 on fleabay - there's only a blue one in small on there now.

See my previous post about Cutter and Buck. Decent brand my dad has that jacket never had any issue with it.

Sunderland been around years in the golfing world I've had there waterproofs before with no issues.
