Harrington's New Swing

Can't he just leave things alone…!!!??? Or if he is so good with adapting his swing, why not have a look at a video from 2008 of his own swing and trying that one!

I really like Padraig, and would love him to do well! I uses to idol him though, and in 2008 I bought my clubs and from my sig you can tell how much I used to follow him…
:o :o :o :o :o :o ;)

He's always being tweaking and I think this is the culmination of a 2 year journey. Heck it didn't do Faldo too much harm when he changed at the top of his game and then went on to dominate again. I think Paddy has a few more wins in him and he certainly knows how to get it done in a major. I've become a big fan too recently and hope he can get it together

Every golfer is always tweaking, you are a complex human being that is getting older, things change, muscles change, not to mention the immense mental stress that causes change.
Pete cowens on his case, so watch out

There's a difference between tinkering and a full-blown swing re-build. Paddy's been at this changing swing lark too long, he needs to settle or he wont progress.

It always makes me laugh when the Media make comments about a swing change or a method pf playing a shot and then show a picture that means absolutely nothing. If this is Paddy's new swing then show a comparison, show a similar picture of his old swing -then we can see the difference.

Ah, signs of old age, first the ping driver, now being unable to remember :D

The body changes, the mind changes, lots of things change. When something isn't working, it needs changing.

He's good enough to know that he's making the wrong moves, and dedicated to know that hard work and practice is the option, not new gear and a load of excuses.

I say good on him. A full on swing change is damn hard work for anyone, let alone a pro who has ingrained those moves deeper than muscle memory goes.

As someone who is new to following golf can someone answer a few questions for me.

1. When Padraig won his three majors was he performing really well in other tournaments i.e. was he going into them as a favourite?
2. When he won his majors did he play really well tee to green in the championships or was it his fabulous short game and mental strength that got the job done?
3. Did he decimate the field by scoring really low or was it three quite high scoring Majors?
4. Can someone write a phonetic pronunciation of his first name as I still can't blinking say it and don't like calling him Porridge

Thank you

Watch out all - especially as only 2 of the Top 100 in the World are playing. So not much money or ranking points available this week!

Take cover.
