Warm up how do you?

my warm up...
(at home)
-lots of stretches
-couple of small practice swings
-pitch shots
-hit golf balls into net
-chase after the dog who is running after sheep :D

I usually arrive at the course way before my tee time so I just practice anywhere from the bunker to the range but on medals or big competitions I'm usually there early in the morning so i would only be taking a couple of putts and then i'm off.
Warming up definitely helps because your swing feels more fluid and natural

All depends how arsed I feel about the game tbh. Sometimes I have a more substantial warm-up of the usual stretches and swings and different length shots etc , sometimes I just roll up and swish a few practice swings and i'm off. Dont know that it makes much difference tbh as i'm usually pretty average whichever way i warm up.

Hardly ever go near the practice putting green unless i've got a spare 5 minutes and i'm bored waiting for my tee time , i'd rather just have some banter with other golfers tbh

I normally get to the club about an hour before my tee time and normally carryout the following :-

- Stretching to loosen up.
- Hit a few balls on the range starting with a 9 iron and working thru to a 3 iron hybrid.
- On to the short game practice area and hit a few wedge shots with a 55 & 60.
- On to the practice green for a few putts.

If I'm short of time I'll go straight to the short game area.

75 mins, bugger that.

Andy

That's about 4 or 5 cups of coffee and 7 or 8 fags that is!!
I might wander out to the 18th green and see how fast it looks, or watch others putting on it to give me some idea. But that's about as much as I want to know. I've never yet found a practice putting green that's the same speed as the greens I'm just about to putt on.
;) ;) ;)

Try and get there an hour before, depends on wether kids want cereal for breakfast or something more complicated like toast!

Stretch out, hit some wedges, some mid irons, some more wedges, then putting green for about 5-10 mins, then off I trot!

You lost me.. is that in code?

My warm up used to consist of a couple of ciggys... now I have quit smoking I warm up by saying "Don't shank it" to all my competitors :p :p

Ideally, up to the club an hour before hand. Hit thirty balls on the practice ground, twenty minutes putting and ten minutes chipping.

Reality, driving like a lunatic up to the club, hastily assemble trolley, duck into Pro Shop, hand over cash, pick up card, rush down to first tee, two practice swings and off.

Never used to bother with it, but now the back is achey, the knees are wobbly and the rest of me creaks at the drop of a hat, so I have to either :

A) Stretch a bit and hopefully find a net to build up the swing until it resembles something vaguely useable

or

B) Play really REALLY bad for the first two holes.

Come Wednesday I'll probably do both.
