I've bought a carry/cart combined Big Max golf bag which I'm really happy with, but my shafts do get crossed and caught at times which is a little annoying, so I'm looking for 14 lightweight tubes to place down the 14 divides so they are full length.

Anyone got such things or can advise please?

Thanks for that, after a little more investigation following your link, most of those tubes are only 30mm (if stated) which is a little narrow for my midsize grips with 2 layers underneath, but I've now found they have them at American Golf (Masters) and they're described as 3.5cm, so they, although nearly twice the price, should be much better.

Hold up chap I think I recall someone saying they caused shaft rub? If you think about dividers in a cart bag they’re always lined at the top with soft material, the plastic tubes just wear. How’s your craft work? Easily enough done I’d say bit of glue an strip of material?

I've got some 30 mm tubes that came with a vintage bag, I think there are 14 but would have to check.

I've found that they do tend to snag the club when pulling it out the bag if not pulled out straight so maybe you're thicker grips will be a problem, but they're yours if you want them.

Thirty years ago a bag I bought came with plastic tubes. Got rid after a few months when I noticed the chrome was starting to rub off the shafts. They would be a disaster for graphite shafts.

I use them for all my irons. I use an old titleist bag so this keeps them in a decent order in the bag as it's only split into 3 sections.

Thanks Nick but I’ve been down to AG and bought 13 now, I took my 4i with me and it slipped in & out sweet, so they are a little wider.

I asked about this and was told it was only or more relevant on graphite shafts, but not so much on steels, I’ll monitor it early doors and if needed I’ll glue some material into them.

100% don’t use on graphite shafts

My mate already got shaft rub on his 1 season old driver

Only use on Steel and you will be fine

I use for all my irons.. keep my wedges free as I use them most and then woods / hybrids free aswell

You could buy black plastic conduit from a DIY store and cut it to the precise lengths you need.

That’s what I did for my driver and 3w. Both shafts are expensive so bought football socks as well. I’ve not noticed any form of bag rub yet although I might look at some padding up the top.

The tubes I got from AG are working out fine, only used on my irons, not got them on my graphite’s or wedges.

I may cut them down a few inches, I notice at times when I reach and grab a club the tube comes out if I don’t pull it out exactly straight, I think if they’re cut down slightly this would remove this minor frustration.
