Volvo Matchplay

Hywel and I have entered the amateur Volvo matchplay. Got the draw today and we've a home game against two guys from nearby Maidenhead off 14 & 16 with a game at Wexham Park or Maidenhead if we get through.

Yes, apparently it's "The most improved golf course in South Buckinghamshire". I played there in 1995, I think we might have caught up with you......

Ha. I didn't make the draw. That is just how it worked out.

The other match is between Wentworth and someone from a place called Royal Ascot. I hear there are some rather dodgy members there.

You must be in a different part of the draw to me then. Not a sign of Wentworth on my listing. We have The Oxfordshire, Mill Ride and the Lambourne as the pick of the rest but can only meet the first two in the final game of the bracket

I have some of those in my section too - Mill Ride, Oxfordshire, Royal Ascot, Reading, Henley etc.
