Just wanting to gloat that I've got my Spanish trip booked up!
Finally ........................... something to look forward to .................. sunshine.
We're off in May and I just can't wait.
Sorry for the gloat, I'm buzzing!

Just to gloat, I'm off to La Manga in 6 hours from now for four days with seven keen golfers. Sunshine at last. Have not hit a ball for eight days unfortunately.

Barcello Montecastillo is what it's called and it's just a few yards from the Jerez motor racing circuit where the F1 guys have been testing this week.
It's a superb Jack Nicklaus designed course which hosted the Volvo Masters from '97 to '01 and they did us a fantastic deal ..................... again. Can't think of anywhere I'd sooner go.

We wanted to go there last year but the dates coincided with some GP race I think so we couldn't go. It looks a lovely course. Have fun :thup:

It's a superb course. This is our third trip there.
Oh, and some of the sounds of the racing cars/bikes testing that echo around the course are fantastic.

Spain is on my list of places to go and play. I'm off to turkey tomorrow morning for 5 rounds in 6 days and can't wait to get away from this weather. Forecast of sun everyday

Yeah ....................... sleep!
There's absolutely nothing in the area without using a car. Nearest town is Jerez which is a few miles away.
The hotel has no entertainment, as far as I can remember, and, as it's all inclusive, we stay on site.
We're a bit odd though because we are four of the VERY, VERY FEW who walk the course. When done we have a pint of beer and a pint of orange juice before heading off for the tennis courts for a couple of hours! (Combined age of 228).
Trust me, by the time the evening arrives we're fit for not much!
Unbeatable.
Oh, there are also a couple of footy pitches, a gym, a spa, a couple of pools & paddle tennis courts ................ all of which are included in our stupid deal.
And I have to repeat ............... the course is superb.
