Just had a company quote to replace our blinds and they asked if they had been serviced recently (they said every year recommended)

Is this a necessity?

How long have you had them? Have they gone wrong yet? Think that might answer your question.
Are they Velux blinds?

In my experience all they would need is a periodic dust over with a soft brush or carefully with a vacuum cleaner.
Unless of course they are electrically operated.

£100 to fit and service

VELUX window service and fit manual blind
- Visually inspect window (note any recommendation's, defects and faults).
- Replace ventilation flap foam,
- Replace air filter
- Lubricating pivot hinges and lock mechanism.
- Clear debris from flashing surrounds
- Clean glass (inside and out)
- Clean internal frame

In your op you said, servicing the blinds, nothing about Velux window servicing.
That's how I read it anyway.

But £100 sounds good value for fitting the blind and servicing the window, even though it takes only 5- 10 minutes to fit a Velux blind. 👍

I had a similar issue last winter—loads of condensation, and the frame looked a bit worse for wear. Ended up replacing the glazing and getting a proper restoration window glass service. The difference after the work was night and day; no more drafts and it looks brand new.

Our Velux windows are nearly 30 years old and have never received or needed servicing, beyond a vacuum and wipe.
I fitted the manual blackout blinds myself. It took 10 minutes.
The remote control electric blinds at MiL's old house took half an hour to fit - mostly climbing up and down the stepladder to pick up the bits I'd forgotten or dropped.
