Men do have hormonal cycles that impact our moods in a similar way to PMT in women. Because we have no overt physical symptoms it’s hard to pin down but it does happen.
Is this what my Mrs means when she asks am I on my meriod :ROFLMAO:

I get the whole hormonal cycle part even for men and think we do have possibly some issues as we get older and T levels drop causing the grumpy old man syndrome but we cannot have a physical period so I'd hope these Brighton schools are teaching the correct differences or is now just more aimed at being gender neutral

If we didn't eat meat how long would it be before the world was totally overwhelmed by cows, sheep and pigs...?
They'd rule the world and we'd be enslaved to do their evil bidding....you mark my words....

You haven't really thought this through, have you. The only reason we have the cows, pigs, and sheep that we do is because we breed them. I am not suggesting that everyone goes vegi over night, but if they did it would be a gradual process. We have learned to grow meat in a lab now, so in years to come I suspect this will be the way forward. The planet can not sustain the growing human population and farm animals required to feed them, so something has to change.

So now you want to make cows, sheep and pigs extinct........

Veggie at 6! Wowsers. Did you make the choice or was it something your folks asked you to do?

Sister told me where meat came from. I was quite shocked and told mum I didn't want to eat meat anymore. Mum said OK, thinking it wouldn't last. Haven't eaten it since, but I honestly don't preach my beliefs. That said, I do think people should be more aware

The amount of resources that go into producing beef and lamb are huge and we would do well to stop eating it. I for one eat pretty much no red mest these days and and while far from being a vegetarian my overall meat consumption is much less and feel a lot better for it too.

You see, that is a responsible outlook, and needless to say, dropping red meat is better for your health. Perhaps if people just a had one day a week when they didn't eat meat would be a good idea.

Back to the thread. I find militant vegans to be very boring, and have no issue with them being eaten

If you were having a dinner party and meat eaters were invited, would you cook a meat option for them?

No, but have no problem sitting next to someone eating meat in a restaurant or at their own home. That said, we have made many meals for meat eaters who don't know we are vegis, and they hadn't noticed there wasn't any meat.

"How do I feel about veganism"

Doesn't bother me either way. Our eldest is a vegan, and has been for almost 30 years now. When we stayed with her a few weeks ago she cooked a fabulous meal that included chicken for us. I know why she chose to become a vegan, and have respected that and ensured we had the right foods in for her as she grew up. We are aware of what makes a balanced diet, both for vegans and for us meat eaters.

Rioting over it? If they want to behave like idiots then they should accept they will be treated like idiots. If they want an adult debate about it, and I'm not in a rush, which is rare these days, I'll happily talk to them. I wouldn't look to change them, and I hope they'd accept that after 60 years of meat eating they're unlikely to come up with something that I'm not already aware of and wouldn't change my mind.

Today will be a full English. Sandwich for lunch, probably cheese, and a bag of crisps. And its meat feast pizzas with chips for tea - not sure meat feast pizzas have any meat. Supper will probably be a bit of pork pie with cheese and a glass of port. Will I live to 100? I don't care. I'll live as long as I live. Would I live longer if I switched my diet a bit? Probably, but I'd rather have a bacon sandwich.

As a vegi, I still agree with what you say. Even most meat eaters believe in good in animal welfare. Whilst not eating meat is healthier, I don't believe this is a particularly good reason not to eat it. I, like you, would rather have a shorter happier life, than a longer boring one. That comes from someone who drinks far to much :)
