As already mentioned, Sentosa Island (mall, universal studios, golf courses etc)and the night safari at the zoo (daytime inc boat trips are cool) are the two biggies. Wear light clothes as the humidity is verging unbelievable sometimes. (we flew back with a couple of days in Dubai and the difference in humidity was almost painful, from damp warm weather to properly dry arid heat.)
beyond that, Chinatown for some decent food at a decent price, alcohol is cheaper there too. the 3 floor subway system gets you everywhere quickly but it's not completely straight forward so best asking a clerk. The shopping malls and restaurants will keep you amused. we were there for just over 3 weeks and each day we walked somewhere different, national day in August was fantastic, they roll out all of their weaponry and fighter jets come in close to the business district high rise buildings and the noise was fantastic.
Raffles hotel is worth going to for the colonial feel alone, home of the singapore sling but if having one, have it freshly made as it's no more expensive than the premix bottled stuff, a round will cost though, almost eye watering. we loved it and want to get back at some point.
