So looking forward to heading down to London. Got a boat load of tickets to the match through my rugby club. Me and 13 mates are off to enjoy a proper game. Hoping that the Springboks manage to win their 11th in a row against England. Got a few who have flown over from South Africa too.

If anyone is about we will be in the cabbage patch from about 12h30.

I did have two tickets offered to me but have declined as I have a prior engagement. 28 of us are going to a rugby lunch at Worthing Raiders. Starts at 1130 and the match is at 2pm. We are then going out afterwards. It is going to be somewhat messy and I have booked Sunday morning on a dialysis machine at the local BUPA hospital.

If I thought England were going to win then I might have gone. Going to watch against the All Blacks instead. Easy win!

Wish i was dude! last time i was in the cabbage patch, i recall being thrown out for being too drunk as i had just taken a pee in the garden while the BBQ was on. this was at 1pm ish.. cant remember much about the game, but i am told we won it!

Enjoy the day out dude, i cant think of a better day than going to twickers with the lads on the rattler, few pints in the patch, good match then more beer... happy days. not jealous at all!!

Enjoy your day, saw the Sprinboks at Murrayfield last week and enjoyed the game despite the result.

Rugby is a great day out, completely different kettle of fish from a day out at the football.

hope they go home beaten but happy, can't see it though

golf in the morning for me (weather permitting), kids & wife at a b/day party in the afternoon. I'll be sat on the sofa, maybe with a variety of snacks and refreshments !

I really enjoy international rugby, been to Cardiff,Paris & Dublin following Scotland, never been to Twickenham, though. Will do someday.

As for comparisons with football, I think they're more alike than most think...on the whole, men drinking, swearing, shouting and puking...I've seen fighting on and off the pitch at both.

I've seen fighting on and off the pitch at both.

I'm suprised at that statement! (well not at the fighting on the pitch!!) i have been to my fair share of footy and rugby. Football has a not very nice atmosphere pre and post match (sometimes) and i have seen it kick off between rival fans many a time, I wouldn't take my kids to a footy match.

Not once have i seen rival fans fighting at a rugby match, be that minnow stuff like Newbury who were in national 1 a few years back, to london irish in the premiership to international rugby both in the UK and europe. Went and watched Italy Vs England and it was a fantastic atmosphere! At any rugby game, there is none of these alcohol bans, take your pint to stands and sit next to a guy supporting the other team, have some banter and have a great day out! Oh just remembered, i have VIP for Irish Vs Saracens in Feb cant wait!

how does the old saying go? Football, a game played by gents and watched by thugs. Rugby, a game played by thugs and watched by gents.. something along those lines anyway...

Oh and anyone after tickets for Next Saturday, England Vs All Blacks, drop me a PM. My wife is working for a Charity and they are being Auctioned off on Monday online. (i am nowt to do with the charity, nor will i profit from this)

I too have never seen any spectators fight at or after a rugby match and I have been to hundreds. I don't mind the players creating a small pugilistic spectacle every now and then but it's not something the spectators should be involved in. Rugby every single day for me.

I hate to say it but I have experienced a small degree of violence once - at one of last year's 6 nations games (I won't say who against).

Shocking thing was it wasn't the men that started! Alcohol fueled ladies kicked off but it was quashed straight away. Both sets of fans let them know in no uncertain terms that the behaviour isn't welcome at a rugby match.

Fans enjoy the game and applaud good play irrespective of which side it was. Where else would you get 80,000 people in complete silence whilst a penalty is being taken.

I hope we win but won't be too upset if we lose against the boks. Part of the growing process for this team will be what they learn from the defeats (big lessons must have been learned from the failed attempt at persisting with the 7 point game last week).

Very envious of those going on Saturday, both teams are geared up for what will be a seriously bone crunching encounter. Sadly have SA down to win as I do not think that England have followed up on the early promise shown by this squad. That said, a number of changes may get things firing. Happy to see Youngs back at scrum half as Care tends to crab across the pitch a bit too much (which he does not do for quins). Also good to see Wood back on the flank. Not sure about Morgan at 8 yet.

Still, a day at Twickenham is great whatever the result. I may head up to my old club to watch the match as it has been a while since I have been up there.
