I work in the city and see people everyday commuting to work in suits and trainers, they change into their shoes when they get to work, I wonder why that is?

Correct footwear for the sport? Basket ball players wear high trainers to prevent ankle injuries. How is wearing "shoes" with spikes on the bottom correct for golf. You wouldnt put normal shoes on to walk your dog 6 miles. So really golf footwear should be a pair of hiking boots with spikes on!
Can you explain what makes shoes so suitable for golf?

The other point to bear in mind is that we are, in the main, not the target market for golf attire these days. Golf gear is designed for and aimed at the younger golfer and certainly not aimed at me in my early forties. Some of it I may like, some of it I may not but the simple fact is that the target market for new golf attire designs is a great deal younger than me.

Speak for yourself daddy O. I'm your age and I dig the new fashions....

Good point well made, I actually think the same principal applies to golf clubs as well, the major markets or demographics they are going for are not middle to old aged blokes in the UK. Something that is plain to see on this board every time TM brings out a new driver which causes such consternation;) They are aiming at younger people who want the latest clubs all the time, not old farts who change their bats every 5 years.

Pretty much why I said 'in the main'. There are certainly a few whippersnappers on here (and at 41 I am one compared to some) as there are also probably older members who like to dress in the latest fashions every year :)

And with me at 31 I couldn't be any different to that. Honestly
