TV Sound Bars

Anyone got one? any good? pro's and cons'?

If your TV speakers are Crap (like most LCD/LED) then these are a great improvement. If you are wanting this for surround sound without the cables then save your money. The "surround" aspect of them works to an extent but isn't really that great and can vary wildly depending on your viewing position.

Personally, I wouldn't hold out very high hopes.

Then again, I guess anything compared to a proper Yamaha 5.1 digital surround system with KEF speakers is going to be bit on the tinny side.

It used to be the case (years ago) that the total output was a good indication. This bar seems to offer 50W per channel and 100W for sub-w. Seems pretty decent.

TV soundbars are a compromise between quality and space/wires etc. Some are pretty good, others crap. What Hi-Fi Sound and Vision recently reviewed some and Yamahas generally get a good write-up, as does the Q Acoustics TV2.
