Let me know how you get on - got mine last week and had one round with it !
Out of intereste can you tell me how yours is set up ?
very interested to know you weights config

Aztecs sometimes I wander if there is a village near you missing it's golf obsessed idiot ;) ..........

......then I remember watching an Essex v Gloucestershire cricket match in my youth and leaving early because of the visiting fans incessant "Glooooooooooooooucester" chant and realise that actually you are probably a fairly sharp tool in the south west box ;)

Really hope you have a great session with it tonight and Mr Kemlo I hope yours arrives on the morrow!

So do we have news from the range yet and are there tears before bedtime with a nasty sky mark on the white face. Hope you got the set up right though and it is working for you. Not sure I could stand the disappointment if you couldn't hit it

come on aztex spill the beans - why the angry face. wrong spec?

Nope, but Steve hasn't got his apparently, so I'm angry for him.

Mine is fine thanks. Not setup the way I was fitted, but that doesn't matter as I would need to change it anyway now I swing completely differently than I did two months ago...Everything else is right though

so if your swinging completely differently now to when it was fitted (2 months ago) whos to say the shafts right one for you now?

im not saying it isnt an hope it still is right ,but surely a question worth raising

Thanks for the heads up,I'll pop around to Screwbacks on my way home and pocket his before he returns home! :D

No point in doing that its no been delivered yet dont know about Steve....?

Maybe tomorrow

maybe no :D ;)

Did I ever - i wrote to their top man in Calfornia and he wrote back straight away saying give him two days to investigate. Cutting a long story short he sent me an R11 TP Driver and a matching 3 wood and an R11 baseball cap by way of an apology direct from Cralsabad in Cali to England. I got them in just a little over 48 hrs.
Now thats what i call customer service. Once again the yanks reminding us why we should not call ourselves Great Britain. I am now a TM er for life  and I did write back and say thank you

Good question but my swing speed hasn't changed, just my swing plane (no longer out-to-in)....So shaft is fine. I tried a regular the other night, it felt like rubber!

News from the range is.....so so. It bloody goes...just in the wrong direction. Mostly due to the fact I'm still trying to stop myself going over the top. I've nailed my swing changes with my 7 iron....just gotta do it with all my other clubs now! :D

Only had a couple of hits, but it felt solid, but I won't go back to it for a few weeks now probably, my swing needs time to bed in. No sky marks though so all is well.

Not setup the way I was fitted

How come???

Not a very good advert for the new TaylorMade facility at Wentworth. :o

It came packaged straight from the factory (still plastic wrapped). I'm not to disappointed, I got a memorable day and a free driver and met some great people.

Also, it's got nothing to do with the TM Facility at Wentworth as we didn't go to use the facility, that was just where the day was being hosted.

But the club should have been custom fitted correctly - right?

I agree that the day, etc was special but I'd have been slightly disappointed if my Wilson irons had turned up with the wrong shaft, for example.

I'm not having a go, for you it was a once in a lifetime experience but I don't understand why the driver turned up and it wasn't to your exact spec.

I'll be honest, it's put me off a TaylorMade custom fit. If they can't get it right on a bespoke day such as yours, what hope is there for me and my £300???

I looked at some R11's in AG today and although I realise they're display models (but still up for sale) the white heads were looking a little grey around the edges. Being matt finish surely they're going to mark up really badly, very easily? Especially the hybrids/fairways. Any marking is going to be tricky to remove and will stand out like a G15 Hybrid in a bag of blades!!
Not doubting the performance of the club one bit - I'm sure it goes great and there maybe something in the white head, but I think they're going to look pretty tatty pretty soon.

Enjoy though!

We weren't given the full custom fit treatment. That involves using their MATT system, using motion capture technology and takes around 2 hours for a thorough swing analysis which is done along with the club fitting.

Our day was to be given the opportunity to be the 1st amateurs to test the club and experience a "fitting" the way the pro's do on tour..."hands on" so to speak.

My club has been delivered to my spec, (correct shaft etc..) but not "dialled up" to the settings which optimised to my swing. Not an issue really, I set it up as it was set up on the day within 5 minutes.

Not sure whether you've misinterpreted our experience, but I don't know why it would put you of a TM fitting at Wentworth when what we experienced wasn't anything like what the full TM fitting experience entails. :D

I didn't have a choice...Stupid rubber tees! :D

Imurg - I'll keep you posted on this as I use it this season. It's a good point, but I'm not sure how the ease of marking/ease of cleaning would differ to any other club to be honest. Be interesting to find out.

Aztecs I think the difference is in the colour. A grubby black driver will look black, a grubby white driver will look grey/beige. I'm sure TM have considered this though.

Good luck with bedding in the swing changes. Here's hoping you are crushing them down the middle in the not too distant future! ;)
