Played Robert the Bruce yesterday and it was fantastic. Some really great holes and the 9th is the best hole I’ve ever seen. Managed to get round in 96 so very happy with that considering I found at least half a dozen bunkers and finished the day off with some goodies from the pro shop :)

It's a very enjoyable course that is well worth playing.

Fair play on the goodies, I decided I needed both kidneys and so just went for the classic ball marker and pitch repairer ?. Lovely gear ?

Shame on you for providing that odious crepe with funds!
Good scoring 1st time round a course! Bit tired on the back 9?

Btw. Looks like 24 is about right - compared to the 45 you played that comp off!

Back 9 was very stop start around the 7th caught up with a 2 ball that was stuck behind a 4 ball. So back 9 was very slow but had a buggy so wasn’t tired just think the waiting around put me off a little and the fact i found a lot of bunkers on the back 9

Then read on:

"Judge has given the green light for a legal challenge against Scottish Ministers over their failure to seek an order to investigate Donald Trump's $60m purchase of the Turnberry golf course.

A bit different from the headline! :)
True, but a little further it says

Trump's Scottish golf courses were raised in a US Congress inquiry as possible money laundering vehicles. Turnberry was the biggest in a $400m spending spree, for which the source of the money remains unexplained.

The Trump Organisation's chief financial officer Alan Weisselberg is now under criminal investigation into tax fraud in the US.

He is registered at Companies House as a person with significant control of the Trump entity, Golf Recreation, that owns Turnberry and, on 8 July, was removed from the same role at Trump International Golf Club Scotland, the entity owning Balmedie golf course.

The entire article makes interesting reading.

While I applaud all serious attempts at investigating and prosecuting money laundering and misappropriated obscene wealth, I think a lot of the worlds ‘crooks who wear Rolexs’ could be brought to heal by swooping on those in the rich seats at the Monaco Grand Prix each year

Or all the dirty money in the Premier League…or for that matter the London property market

"Robert The Bruce" course? Ugh. I am sure that is restrained by Trumpian standards, but still a bit vulgar. Ailsa was a good name for it, and Championship would do fine too.

The Ailsa (main course at Turnberry) is still named that.

TRTB course I think was named Kintyre, I believe, prior to the Trump acquisition and re-design

I guess we could all go into "Trumpism Mode" but for once, maybe not. The remains of "Bruce's Castle" are on the property hence the link. (and one hole on the Ailsa is so named)

However, if he called it the The President Donald J Trump Course...... :ROFLMAO:
