Trump Loses Winfarm Challenge

From hearing Trump jnr on radio earlier going on about the 'monstrosity' to be built out to sea it sounds they have taken a mega trump-hump and aren't building hotel etc and are considering selling the land for housing and even selling the course.

Another blot on the landscape then, and in a busy shipping lane, pure madness.
Sorry bucket you have no idea, I am from Aberdeen and 99% of the locals wanted this,1 disgrace of a man who kept a **** tip and his mother in a caravan does not sway the argument, he is a disgrace who held out for a payday and did not get it, became disgruntled and is a eco hero? Don't make me laugh

What I was saying was how he addressed the people who had the problem with him building the course. He treated those people like absolute crap, having no respect for them at all, they can live their lives how they want on their own land.

local councillor who opposed the development was giving it 'told you so' stuff. H said e had always predicted that the hotel etc that would provide the benefits etc to the local economy, and which was key to granting permission, wouldn't happen. Local Chamber of Commerce representative was clutching at rather hoping the windfarm wouldn't happen and the Trump would change his mind.

I still think Trumps got a plan here and the windfarm will be a good excuse for him to sell, remember he bought cheap and with the planning permission for the housing the place is worth much more than he's original purchase, but who's going to buy in the current climate.

rich investor comes here, buys useless bit of land, builds awesome course that looks great, pours money into the economy, creates jobs and all you guys just bitch about him out to make more money. is he a charity? you should be embracing it, it aint a power station!

whats that got to do with it? you only letting 'nice guys' invest in your little country..........smell the coffee man

He got to build the course he has on an SSSI on the basis of a business case that promised much greater benefit and income to the local community and economy than what exists today.

and thats what he delivered.........or was the barren peice of land in the middle of nowhere raking in big bucks before he came along?

you guys dont like suceesfull people i've noticed

my final say on the matter as I've made it clear I'm in favour of this going ahead.
From someone who was born there, makes there living from there and stays there regularly.
1. The hotel, has anyone tried to get a hotel in Aberdeen recently? Cronic shortage of rooms despite 2 new hotels opening at the airport.
2. I'm all in favour of new technology but to put it in a busy shipping lane is pure madness, stick it south of Aberdeen on the North coast between Fraserborough and Postsoy.

If anyone can answer these 2 points then fairplay.
BTW Can't recall all this whoha about Loch Lomond and Machrihanish,me thinks lots of people are letting personal opinion and emotion get in the way of sensible thinking.

All I am saying is that if Trump pulls out of the hotel complex and second golf course then the benefits he promised to the local community and economy, and that would most probably have been fundamental to the business case he would have presented, won't be realised. That is unless someone else picks up the baton - and that would be fine for me. Because as it is some might consider the local community and area to be being short-changed in what they have got in return for the land of SSSI that has been lost.
