Did you have to wait long, been waiting two weeks so farWell I bought the TRS Slider in the end. Delivered today so will give it a go at the range in the week. Hopefully get my handicap down to a respectable number this year![]()

He is coaching a kid I know called Albie, he is a fantastic golfer and one to look out for in the future. It does look good on the clips I've seen. Makes sense and to be fair he is both a renowned coach and had one of the smoothest swings on tour. You would hope he would do something decent in terms of this.
I have used the last 3 times I went to the range, I really like it because its showing me how much I my arms are were connected and how poor my rotation is, my play at seems better, at the range anyway.Any good then gents
Sorry forgot to update. I’ve only had a couple of range sessions. Feels a bit restrictive at first but then that’s the point of it keeping the right arm from getting away. It helps me feel like I’m just turning back and through and not getting handsy.
Might be a coincidence but I shot a 74 last Sunday. My best round in a couple of years. My iron play was ridiculously good.
@Jason.H how much commission are you on?I purchased one last night.
I think the slider keeps your right arm connected to your ribcage - whereas the ball ones just keep your arms connected to each other. Perhaps the end result on your swing is similar, I don't know. What is the difference between the slider type straps and the squishy ball type you hold between your arms? Do they do the same/similar thing?
It does...but it doesn't lock it (your right arm) into a fixed position relative to your body....other similar body/arm strap systems have a fixed linkage so your right arm has absolutely no freedom to move independently from the body.I think the slider keeps your right arm connected to your ribcage - whereas the ball ones just keep your arms connected to each other. I'm 44" chest and bought a large....it fits OK.What’s the sizes like I’m 43 inch chest so debating medium or large if I get one
Hoping to lose a bit clem to get me into the medium but if it won’t fasten bit of a waste![]()
Keep us updated on the progressMine arrived and had a couple swings in the garden ideal for the overswing
Also played a hole with it yesterday and hit two of the best irons of my life on a par 5
Why not take it to one of your trackman sessions and see what it does to your delivery numbers … just as a point of interest. I don’t know what the out come would be but could be worth a look.Although I've had the slider for a couple of weeks now, other than a few light swings in the garden I've not had the chance to try it in anger hitting balls, until today.
Headed down the nets at the club at a quiet time and initially hit a few balls to get my swing going before attempting to struggle into this bondage device...the chest bit is fine but trying to get the armband positioned correctly was somewhat tricky as it was difficult to slide over my wooly jumper which kept riding up the arm. Eventually I got it on and once I was trussed up like a Christmas turkey I was ready to go.
It took maybe just half a dozen shots for me to figure out what the device was doing for ME. Whilst I personally wouldn't say it made much of an obvious difference in the backswing (my arms and upper body are usually pretty well connected), what it did appear to do was to force my body to continue working in synch with my arms, once I'd reached the impact area. Instead of my body rotation slowing, it was forced to keep turning, as to do otherwise would have prevented my arms from properly completing the swing and follow through.
I hit maybe 30 or 40 balls wearing the device and many of them were very good strikes....now, whether that was down to the Slider or not, or just my natural swing getting in the groove I dont know. I then removed the device and hit another half a dozen shots....most of them decent impacts.
Difficult to draw any conclusions about the slider from a relatively short time is use but, there may well be some potential benefit going forward if used for half hour sessions maybe three times a week. Not sure benefits will be measureable on a week by week basis....its more likely (if there are indeed benefits to be had) to show up in 6 months time when I suddenly have a light bulb thought that I'm hitting the ball so much better than I was six months ago.
We will see. Initial thoughts though are positive.
