Are Ping, IJP, Sub70 or Stromberg trousers true to actual sizes? HID is ordering online for my Christmas present, but I've heard with Stromberg at least, you're better ordering a size above..... Any experience?

I have several pairs of Strombergs and find the waist size to be spot on, the leg fitting can be a bit narrow however

Stromness always seem a smaller fit

IJP is about right in both waist and leg

Galvin is a size small in waist but ok in leg

Ping seem to fit normally

I tried to buy trousers from tailor store, and it was not a sucess... i look at IJP TECH Trousers,,,,someone buyed them from the IJP online store? and are sizes as promised? What does unfinished means?

Unfinished means they are made too long without a hem and you get a tailor to alter them to you exact requirements.

Sizes are good from ijp, unfinished is 37 long inside leg but unstitched so you can personalise thevlength to suit yourself.

I have two pairs of Strombergs. Was 'inbetween' sizes when I first ordered. Went for 34" and immediately sent them back and reordered a 36". It would seem following a later suit fitting that Stromberg are indeed a 'standard' fit....

I got the slim fits though as I don't wish to flap around like a granny in a wind tunnel....

If anyone is a fan of IJP gear and lives near Leighton Buzzard - go to the factory on the last Friday of every month and you will get some bargains

Only trousers I've ever had fit to size are Nike dri-fit. You get what you pay for, trust me. Tried Ping, Stromberg, Dunlop, Adidas and they all felt tighter to me, always. Nike only the true fit in both leg and waist.

I get a 32 waist in all trousers/jeans and the only pair of Stromberg ones i have are snug round the waist and i don't need a belt with them but any other golf trousers or jeans in a 32 i need a belt.

I only had one pair of Stromberg, they were too tight around the groin and the top of the thighs. I used to be a bit of an Adidas hoore but have this year converted to Under Armour and IJP. I got two pairs of UA Coldgear golf trousers from TK Maxx for £30 the pair, and two more pairs for the boy for £20 the pair. Have to say that they are really nice trousers too, I'm 34x34 and they fit a treat.

Having said that, I started buying some IJP trousers on ebay from Golfbase, they are without doubt my favourite trousers. Excellent quality, good fit too, 34x34 fit spot on, and can even wear 36x34 without feeling too big in the waist (maybe that's just me getting .....older). As for picking them up at less than £30 a pair, especially for the tartans, that's an absolute bargain. I've been very impressed with the IJP quality, I'm a member at LBGC so am frequently in the area, I'm interested to know more about the where the factory is and how I get in there on the last Friday of each month.......
