Trolley dilemma....

I'll look into some cheaper batteries"

Scott. If your batteries keep failing after just over a year, it may be your charger at fault.

Really??

Im gonna look a bit stupid here but what difference would the charger make? I assumed they either work or they dont???

thing is if it is the charger (they can become less efficient I believe so dont fully charge the battery hence the battery slowly dies a death) then thats 30 quid, new battery as one the conditioning goes they are cream crackered is another 40 quid = £70 (minimum)

brand new trolley, battery, charger for 184 sovs = winner

What about a powerbug. AG have them for £220 at the moment and their website have ex demos for £180. Two mates have them and can't fault them. You know you need a nice new shiney trolley though.

Do you keep the battery on constant charge or do you switch the charger off when the green light comes on. If you switch it off and the battery is a constant charge battery that may be your problem.

I feel like I am being backed into a corner.....

So I could buy a new battery and if the charger is ##**##* anyway then all I will do is accelerate its deterioration, it is the original charger bought with the trolley which I originally for the (now ex) GF. And that must have been 2002/3?

Getting closer to clicking the 'BUY' button on that Powakaddy.!! And its in graphite not bronze so colour not too bad.

the thing is Scott, your trolley electrics may be cream crackered aswell putting extra drain on the battery also

dont forget you can clean up your trolley and sell it on ebay sold as seen and probs get another 80 quid back

peace of mind, the trolley you have has had a good run, you will get 80 quid ish on ebay for it so click that bloody button ;)

Its a powakaddy battery and was always told to keep on charge, where possible, all the time inbetween rounds which i do. However if the charger is kanckered this probably makes it worse :(

And people say the GoKart looks ugly... that thing is hideous! ;)
To be honest mate all the trolleys are differing versions of ugly.

Yes I am thinking this too but trying to exercise a little self control.....

Has he clicked buy yet?

NO!... well, not yet anyway.......

You arent gonna let this one go till I have though are ya!!

Sorry bratty but a gokart looks like a bloody air fix model, it's all plasticky
I'd have to disagree, mate. There's no blobs of glue all over it, and the stickers are on straight! :)

I find it very pleasant, and the fact I can lift it without any real effort is a bonus. Give me that over some steel contraption any day! ;)

I see you have updated your signature-Show Off !!!

Jealousy will get you nowhere, mate. It must have REALLY hurt to see that I couldn't use it out of bunkers!

Hurt ??? yes.

Surpised? No

Off to American Golf now to have a look at this touch thing and then home to decide......
