Get down south and play Ballybunion, Tralee and Waterville!!
One day, getting the easily accessible courses out of the way.
Although having to choose 3-4 courses down there is going to be a challenge....

Mate in my opinion , and that of a few others , the Monty course is a bit of a dissapointment , he tried to put a links course inland and again in my opinion it didnt work .. The O'Meara course is far nicer ..
Killeen correctly ahead aswell by the way
They also have some of the finest parkland courses as well. Just because you like just links doesn't mean everyone else has to like just links!
no trip would be complete without play concra wood! http://www.concrawood.ie/Splash-page
The Island is a stunning golf course and I would not miss it out and if it is September you will not be off mats,no bloody chance,Links course on mats in September??That would just be Irish of that happened!

I can see you're trying to keep the courses near to Dublin and the main road to Rosslare. So have you considered the The K Club.
Enjoy.
Portmarknock links hotel is a fantastic course, they will do a deal with staying the them and the island.
arklow is also a great course and another lovely old course is woodenbridge.
Killeen castle is a far better course than any of the carton house courses.
The island and european are class.
Well, after a couple of months of checking and planning, the trip is now fixed on the schedule below, some of the tee times have even been booked.
Ferry over from Wales
Thusday up to Carton House to play the Montgomerie and stay over night
Friday Up to Co Louth for 18 and drive down to Dublin, stay in Dublin
Saturday The European to be handed our ars3s on a plate (but we love it)
Sunday Druids Glen and home.
Some of the courses (Killeen Castle) couldn't do our dates and others (Portmarnock and The Island) we didn't fancy the prices, or in the case of The Island playing off mats.
There it is. Opinions welcome.
