Title just about says it all. Also is it worth considering flying to a neighbouring state as local travel distances aren't huge.

From Heathrow or Gatwick

My work colleague based there will only fly Emirates. Personally I'm a BA man, im a slave to the avios points!!

Easy answer. Emirates.
Arrange a flight on the A380 absolute class rather than 777

Apart from the outside I really didn't tell any difference between them inside (which is where it counts!)

Cattle class btw, I expect business and first is superb.

Emirates for me ,although like Rooter we do hammer the Avios points , so that means BA and they are fine , clearing immigration can be a nightmare both in and out , but it might have improved .
If i remember correctly with Emirates we did have a stop off at Doha though , but you may be able to avoid that . Lovely place to holiday though .

Looks like we'll go Emirates - staying with my cousin for 10 days - he got nice house with pool etc - and more than one set of golf clubs 😊

Booking tonight - Economy class :) Any further thoughts an advice?

have your own insurance (u probably have anyway), pre book seats if not too expensive, personally i'm a window seat man! make sure you have enough luggage allowance, you can typically take 2 items on now as hand luggage (which i think is crazy, and also hand baggage has got bigger and bigger!) because of this, if priority boarding is not too expensive, consider it so your hand luggage gets on and is close to you!

Enjoy! Dubai is a magnificent place, and Emirates put on a great service no matter the class.

Cheers. I'm sure we'll enjoy it - though I hate shopping and ostentatious consumerism :)

And Emirates to Dubai looks to be the way to go (rather than any other airline to any other nearby airport)

If there is a significant difference in price, consider Eithad into Abu Dhabi. Use code XNB when looking, it's includes a transfer from AUH to Dubai for free...and allows you to do Ferrari World etc on the return and your bags gets taken to the airport from downtown Dubai.

About 45 minute transfer.

Thankyou sir! Will check that out also. Flight prices direct to Dubai are pretty low at the moment so doubt I'd get one much cheaper to AD
