it might be a pain to handle and store - but I'd go with a hard case every time!

The way the handlers throw golf bags around, even bubble wrap does not protect them.

Have travelled many times with a soft case and I use head covers on all clubs and bubble wrap also use foam tubing for the shafts "the kind that's used for pipe insulation" Have had one driver shaft damaged out of maybe 30 flights so I suppose a hard case is a safer option. Thought the mop was a good if somewhat strange tip might use that one myself.

Whatever you go for I would advise getting something with wheels.

I work for an airline and know from experience that 99 times out of hundred, you’ll be fine travelling with a standard ‘soft’ case. But I also travel a fair bit and to the States too. That’s why I purchased this bad boy. Mine was just over £200 I believe and does a bloody good job.

If you recommend the SKB brand, do you think this would be any good?

Hard case, but in 2 halves that can slot inside each other for storage and gettingin the hire car. Seems like a best of both worlds option, providing it is durable.
