I need to replace my worn out travel bag, and as I'm getting a little older I thought I'd upgrade to a wheeled one. I'm been looking on the web and the Forgan of St. Andrews brand keeps coming up at a reasonable price, has anybody seen or got one of these? Or indeed has anybody got some a reccommendation. I'm looking to spend up to £75

I went for the hard bodied variety which is very robust for about £65 several years ago. The only problem is weight, with bag, clubs, shoes, couple of extras like beach towels to save suitcase space it comes to about 18Kg. Have to check the airline rules carefully but overall I think it properly protects the clubs and I'm glad I didn't go for the cheaper soft body option.

I've got a Nicklaus Golden Bear bag, about £40 from AG - only used once for a trip to the Algarve last year, but it stood up to the rigours of the aircraft hold very well.

Bit of a tough one that

I bought a soft travel cover (with wheels) last year and it got damaged on only it's second outting

Easyjet, who damaged it, then kindly replaced it with a hard travel cover, which weighs more and allowed the buggers to charge me excess baggage when I next travelled with them.

Having said that, they also damaged by hard travel cover, and so next time it's back to the soft (lightweight) variety

The soft cover one was Wilson - while the hardcover was some cheaper non-discript brand (typical Sleazyjet!!)

Good luck!
