Getting back playing was a real focus for me on the road to recovery, but personally i haven't found it the same since going back in the sense that i'm not able to play to the same level as I did before the injury and that is very frustrating. That was one of the major reasons that this time last year I decided that this would be my final year playing hurling and to concentrate on playing golf more seriously
Thats really a worry i do have ....
I play at centre back and for a 34yr old i was very mobile before the injury easily keeping pace with the young lads but as a fried said to me last night at training "Why is it that the fitter you are the more easily it is for you to become injured" there are lads that iv played with and against that may be carrying a little extra pounds and arent as fit and nothing ever seems to happen to them....My physio had the same injury as me and it knocked him out of the game for 18 months and he's still not right.
