It really doesn't it rewards those that understand how to play what is a a game. Just a shame some of them seem to forget and talk about trust.

Watched the first couple of Traitors Ireland, ashamed to say we had to put the subtitles on as some of the accents are very broad.
Early days so not sure how good it’s going to be, however Siobhan McSweeney is very good in the befringed ones role.

Me and my Mrs likewise. We went on holiday after Ep 3 and weren't able to watch. And so we made a determined effort to avoid News and SM that would mention it. And somehow we managed. Binge watch E4 to Final since we returned on Thursday...and just finished watching the Final. What a great series...IMO. Who needs another Celeb series....not me anyway.
Delighted about what Stephen did sharing the prize fund with Rachel when he would have won the lot against Jack..an act of selflessness and sticking to core values - shining a light on that there is another way to live that is not all about self - mind you he does come from Looowisss

It rewards people who can act well - and even then only if they act well enough. Otherwise it rewards people for their perceptions of authenticity and who can work together and solve puzzles. But for the Traitors especially it's all just acting.

What Stephen Libby did in the Final of The Traitors - choosing to share the prize fund rather than have not all for himself.
And I believe that he did it for reasons just as he explained - he wanted to adhere to his core values and felt he would not be able to live with himself, and the guilt, had he betrayed the trust he shared with his fellow Traitor. And betrayal would have been so easy for him. Furthermore I believe he did what he did in good faith, literally, given I have an idea of what his background would have had instilled in him.
I could post a Random Irritation that some think his decision was a cynical one, thinking he'll make more money out of the publicity than he gives away by sharing. But I won't as that is negative and this is for me a very positive story.
Thing is...many people with a 'faith' background...whether still 'active' or not...hold their faith-based family and social values very strongly and consider them core to how they live their life and their decision-making. So thankyou Stephen from Looowisss

If you watch the Uncloaked episode afterwards he admits that he was far more tempted to renege on his agreement with Rachel and nearly did so a few times in the last few round tables than Rachel. It appeared, and they both agreed, that she never wavered a bit and was never going to go back on her promise but he nearly did. I am glad that he did what he did , as were most viewers and no doubt the producers, but I don’t think he is therefore necessarily some sort of candidate for sainthood.

It was not a metaphor for life and faith.
It was a silly game turned into a TV show with a big prize for those best at lying and deceit. And he was a joint winner by selling out a few others who thought he was trustworthy.
This is a game and it should always be remembered it is a game, but if your purpose is to lie and deceive people throughout, then there is nothing worthy about the final choice. It was just the final act in the game.

Indeed…not saying they are…but some people do have them linked to what their upbringing in a faith ‘teaches’ them - and from where he is from that is more likely than not to be the case.

Ok, I start to get into Ireland traitors. They are a bit full of themselves (who is keeping me in starts on day 2) but seem a good bunch. All 3 traitors are under fire and at each other from day 3.
On iPlayer it rolled straight into traitors USA and I had to switch it off even before traitor selection. They took half ‘normal people’ and half ‘celebrities’ like former big brother, batchelor, … contestants.
These mind games where they should put 20 self obsessed people in a show but don’t actually film anything, that’s the people I want in there.

The US is barely watchable as it is z list celebrities who only care about their profile.
The Aus and NZ ones are good and interesting but the ‘Claudia’ in NZ is not good.
Not sure why the Irish one only has €50k as the prize, it’s not like the cost of living their is radically different and any increase would be a tiny fraction of the show budget.
