I had a session on Trackman this morning to find out how far i hit my clubs. It was really interesting to see the figures. I had a little bit of a cold, so not my Saturday best. lol

All distances are Average CARRY, & in yards.

60* 65
56* 75
50* 95
PW 105
9 120
8 130
7 140
6 150
5 160
28* 160
25* 175
5W 195
3W 205

At the end of the day it still boils downto how many and not how far. These seem decent if fairly average numbers especially if you were a tad under the weather. It's about keeping it in play though and not bashing it miles into the crap

It's great to see the full flight carry spin rates etc on the launch monitor I had a flightscope session at Easter and it's great to know actual distances and gives that bit of added confidence.

I find this really interesting. I bought a hybrid recently and as it was to fill a specific gap between clubs I used the trackman at the golf shop to firstly identify the gap and then to accurately test various potential purchases. I'd never used one of these before but I ended up with a cracking club that hits my problem distance exactly. Don't know if they let you book a session if you're not purchasing though.

Scott Gourlay certainly has a fantastic set up and his knowledge and help is superb. How much did Scott charge for just a session with no custom fit?

Next time you see Mr Gourlay tell him I'm coming back through for a 3 wood shaft and iron shafts.

Trackman is my nemesis.

However, I do seem to come away from a "read" with some clearer ideas of where my problems are.

Did you do all the irons, or have you extrapolated those figures?

Last time I was on a LM I was getting 10-12 degrees launch angle with my 13 degree driver! :(

No wonder my game was messed up.

Played today in our cash games, and my yardage on my clubs came in handy, but this 2-3 club wind is another thing. Its hard for a relatively newcomer to golf, to work these this out. LOL

Trackman sessions are useful to see what the differences are between clubs and distance gaps. I think what you need to do now is get out on the practive ground and hit real balls under normal conditions to see how far you hit each club in the real world

Believe me, it's hard for someone who's been playing 20 years too...

If it wasn't for the older chap i was playing with, i would have looked really silly today. lol. It was when you are in the valley, the flag is not moving, but he said look at the tree's you will need an extra 2 clubs, trust me, and he was right. Bless him :D

We are limited for space on our practice area, and its up hill. So its a little difficult. And i really don't like the range, as there is a big difference in the balls. But i do agree, nothing like the real thing.
