I've been looking to book to go to the races in June and have been informed that "Track And Trace" will still be a thing and have to supply everyone's info. Is this true? Will we still have to do the track and trace thing if we attend any events?

Restrictions may be lifted in June. Only may not a defo.

If they are they have said nothing as to how long you have to do track and trace and isolation etc

It could be another year yet.

We still do it at the golf club so I cannot see it being different anywhere else (and its on top of booking in to play).

I think any large events will need evidence of a vaccine and/or negative test as a condition of entry for a while. It was announced yesterday that the NHS app will be used for this (mine already shows my first jab) so i assume they will be updating it sometime soon for people to register their home test results on it

I can't see it on mine where is it located?

It would be staggering if they got rid of track and trace in June with new variants appearing, they would surely want track and trace in place.

Track and Trace has been utterly useless pretty much from the start. That isn't going to change.

Proper tracking is, on the other hand, a key part of public health outbreak management. But we don't have that.

And yet events will have to show that they are doing it. I thought we'd all be done with all this on 21st June. It's doesn't seem so though. Even when there's nothing else anyone can do about it. It should be all open come 21st June. The only thing that should be required is the app to say if you've had the jab.

? I thought BJ said THIS June 21st, and not before, for full relaxing of Covid precautions?

Yes restrictions may end 21st June this year.

May.

But doesn't mean social distancing or mask wearing or track and trace will at all.

Do you mean the NHS Covid App or something else?

There is a basic NHS app which you can use for repeat prescriptions and to track appointments. It is that one. I have it and my first vax appeared on it the same day.

The NHS Covid app is the one which you scan in the shop and tells you to take 2 weeks isolation.
